Let's talk about how to use the link adjustment tool to adjust the metal Smart Watch Bands or how to adjust the Stainless Steel Smart Watch Bands.
This is a link adjustment tool. Sometimes people call it a clamp link adjustment tool. It is made of two pieces. One piece is the pin which is used to push against the pins holding the Smart Watch band links together and the other piece is a clamp that holds the metal Smart Watch Band in place.
How Does The Smart Watch Band Link Removal Tool Work?
The Smart Watch Band Link Removal Tool works by screwing the pin against the pin of your metal Smart Watch Band link to push the pin through.
Steps to follow on how to adjust the metal Smart Watch Band links
The first thing is to make sure the stainless steel metal Smart Watch band clasp is open. On some of the metal Smart Watch Bands, you find arrows that tell you which way the pins can be removed. When you use this Smart Watch Band Link Removal Tool, make sure you push against the pins according to the arrows.
Important: Be careful not to push the pins the wrong way, otherwise the Smart Watch Band Link Removal Tool can break or/and you can end up scratching the Apple Watch Band.

To make sure in which direction you should push if you don’t see the arrows is to carefully look on the other side and you'll see that it's flush on the other side. If you decide to push out the pins from this direction, you will have a chance of scratching the Stainless Steel Smart Watch Band or break the Link Removal Tool.
Once you are ok with the direction or have the arrows on the band you should lay the Smart Watch Band on the Link Removal Tool with the arrows facing up. Then align the pin from the removal tool with the first pin you want to remove from the Smart Watch band and gently use the screw from the tool to push the pin from the band.
After that, remove the Smart Watch Band from the tool, and with your hand, you can fully remove the pin. An important note again; is that when you removed the pin is that you remember in what direction it came out. This is important because if you ever want to put it back in you can only do so from one side. If you replace the pin the wrong way around you will have a hard time removing it again.
Shorten the other Metal Smart Watch Band Link
Now you have successfully removed one of the metal Smart Watch Band links you still need to remove another link to shorten it. Just repeat the previous steps to remove the second pin from the Stainless Steel Smart Watch Band.
How do you connect the two metal Smart Watch Band pieces together?
To put the shortened bands together is easy. Just connect them together and push the pin back in. Remember to do it the right way otherwise, it will be hard to take it out in the future. Some people find it hard to push the pin in all the way using their fingers. If this is the case for you we recommend you to use a small hammer or some cloth or toilet paper on the pin and then gently tap it into place.
Afterward, double-check if everything is connected the right way, keep your removed pins and the link in cause you want to adjust it later and this is how you use the Link Adjustment Tool to adjust the Metal Smart Watch Bands.
